Barcelona secured a 2-0 win over Edusport
during a league match held last Saturday at Giant stadium in Soshanguve to earn
a successful three points. Barcelona dominated the game from the first 10
minutes, but Edusport defense was strong enough to prevent goals from their
side. The game went to half time neal-neal.
Barcelona head coach encouraged his players as they came back on fire to break
the deadlock in the 60th minutes from Modiba Matekana. “The game was fair. I
told my players to create goal scoring opportunities, now we are looking
forward to the next game,” said Barcelona head coach, Mahlo Sefoka.
The second goal of the game came from Issac
Masina who was influential though out the game in the 85th minute to give
Barcelona a 2-0 victory.
“The game was okay although we went down 2-0. If it
was not our brilliant young star who was at the goal post, we could have gone
to 5 neal down,” said Edusport senior player, Tebogo Ledwaba.
It was alleged that Edusport used one of its
player who was red carded in their last game. Barcelona coach did not take this
lying down. “We have lodged a protest to SAFA Tshwane SAB league
against Edusport for using a player that was red carded in their previous game.
We will continue with the matter until we get a respond from the league
management” said Barcelona head coach, Mahlo Sefoka.
Edusport senior player Tebogo Ledwaba denied
all the allegations. “Jersey number 16 was already substituted. There is
nothing about a red card,” said Ledwaba.
